Join us on an extraordinary journey...8 weeks of exciting themed days, trips and events designed to captivated kids entering Pre-K to 8th grade. Campers explore programs geared to their specific ages at the only independent American Camp Association (ACA) accredited camp in the region. We offer three Day Camp programs based on grade level and ability. Each and every day has a theme that is celebrated camp-wide through a vairety of engaging experiences. The Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council offers camps at four great locations throughout Delaware and Maryland. Summer camp is a place where girls can challenge themselves, learn new skills, try new things, and have fun! We offer a variety of activities and programs to choose from including science, technology, space exploration, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, sailing, boating, roasting s'mores, outdoor survival, and so much more. There are many camping options, including day, resident, and weekend programs. Girl Scout camps are open to all girls entering 1st to 12th grades, not just Girl Scouts. Girl Scout Camp is affordable and financial aid is also available.

First we will visit the Chief of Potters in the ancient city of Iznik. Students will paint porcelain-fired clay plates with Iznik floral motifs and designs found in the gardens outside our studio. Next stop-India. Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer will teach us to draw and paint the signs and symbols of Gods and Goddesses. We will create a paper architectural study of the Taj Mahal and learn about its history. Finally we will explore the magical nights of the Carribean using scratch board and glow in the dark paints. Students will also study Greg Mort's paintings and learn to see the stars in the sky as a shower of starfish in the galaxy, while creating their own versions with starfish and shells.

You're Wildly Creative! Summer Splash, Ages 8-up

Jump into summer at the Rehoboth Art League and solve an immersive, Original Creativity Challenge. Get ready to build your imagination from the ground up as you make amazing props from unusual items and cast yourself in an outlandish Wildly Creative! Showcase Performance! No particular skills are required Ñbring your imagination and get ready to mastermind your most creative ideas! Focused internet research is possible as spontaneous ideas emerge. $15 materials fee, payable to instructor.

Octopus Garden Pottery Workshop, Ages 8-up, All levels, no material fee

We'd like to be, under the sea, in an octopus's garden with you! Join us to create a large serving bowl brimming with sea-life. Slab and slump mold construction provides a canvas for many decorative techniques.: carving, creating textures, sculpting and more. A bright palette of layered underglazes. French dimensions and glazes offer colorful options for surface embellishment. Wear comfortable, old clothing.

My Secret Garden Pottery Workshop, Ages 8-up, All levels, no material fee

Fashion a fantasy garden hide-away filled with the plants and creatures of your imagination on a large platter form. From buzzing bees on your favorite flowers to a miniature world of critters hidden in the grass, your one-of-a-kind creation will be made using slab construction, slump and hump mold work, additive and subtractive sculpting, carving, sprigging and sgraffito. A bright palette of layered underglazes, slips and glazes offer colorful options for surface decoration. Bring your imagination, your favorite garden poem and wear comfortable, old clothing.

Beach Diary: Dimensional Photo Journals, Ages 8-14, All levels

Jammin' Jellyfish Pottery Workshop, Ages 8-up

Learn how to construct a jar decorated with jazzy jellyfish. Your one-of-a-kind functional container will be made using slab construction, additive and subtractive sculpting, carving and sgraffito. Hearts in Hands Friendship Pottery Workshop, Ages 8-up

Discover the magic of colorful clay inlay while fashioning friendship pottery with a heart in hand or floral motif. Make one for yourself and one to give to a special friend or family member. Bring your favorite poem about friendship and wear comfortable, old clothing.

Children's Artist/Writer Workshop, Ages 7-8
$70 Members, $105 Future Members
August 2, 3 and 4, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
In this workshop, children will have the opportunity to be artists and writers! We will study various writers and learn where they get their ideas for their stories. We will also look at author craft and practice the craft in our own writing. Children will learn different watercolor techniques and the crayon resist process. Children will create their own illustrations and write their own stories using the techniques demonstrated in class. The finished product will be a published book.

Saturday and Sunday mornings. Light breakfast, surf instruction and plenty of time in the water. Pictures will be taken so you can show everyone your surfing style! Cost is $195 per person and includes a surfboard to use, rashguard or tshirt, snacks and beverages. Please bring a towel, sunscreen and wear a comfortable swimsuit or wetsuit. Register today as these camps are limited in size. Camps run 7:30-9:30am.

For ages 8-13.
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm. Surf instruction on the beach & in the water with focus on safety & having fun! Cost is $200 for all three days or $80 per participant per day. Parents MUST be present and allowed to participate if space available at same cost. Space is limited so please register early. I am also doing individual & group lessons throughout the entire summer season so if these dates do not work for you & your family, please let me know & we will schedule something that does fit your needs. Looking forward to surfing with you this summer!
